Copyright
Please read this document in its entirety
Copyright in the Performance Lawn Bowls website (“the website”), including text, images, software, logos, icons, and code, is owned by Macka Jensen. Material procured from a third party may be the subject of copyright owned by that third party.
You may copy, download, print or reproduce material on the website for non-commercial, personal research or educational purposes, on the condition that you:
* do not modify it;
* do not make or sell copies of it for commercial gain;
* do not include it as part of any product or service that you create or distribute;
* do not copy it onto your or anyone else’s website; and
* do not infringe the moral rights of the creator of any material you post to Performance Lawn Bowls, by ensuring that:
o where it is reasonable to do so, you identify and correctly attribute the material to the person who created it;
o the material is not falsely attributed to a person other than the person who created it without first obtaining the author’s written consent; and
o the material is not distorted, mutilated, materially altered or otherwise dealt with such that the creator’s honour or reputation would be prejudiced without first obtaining the author’s written consent,
* ensure that reproductions of material continue to bear any notices attached to or contained in the material; and
* include the following statement with material taken from the website “Copyright in this work is owned by Macka Jensen and is reproduced with his permission”.
To be clear:
I give permission to copy, print, or distribute any documents from my website, provided that:
- each copy makes clear that I am the document’s author,
- no copies are altered without my express consent,
- no one makes a profit from these copies without my express consent, and
- electronic copies contain a live link back to my original and print copies not for merely personal use contain the URL of my original.
This permission does not extend to mirrors of my web pages. Do not put even unaltered copies of my pages on the internet (web, usenet, ftp, etc.) without my permission. Please use a link rather than a copy.
Why put a copyright notice on the documents if I give permission to copy?
- As noted, I wish to put some restrictions on people’s freedom to copy. If push comes to shove, I’d like a legal basis to enforce my preferences and establish my authorship.
- I write to be read. That’s why I give permission to copy. But I want credit for what I’ve written. That’s a small favor to ask.
- I want to help readers not plagiarists.
For any other uses of the material on the website other than those permitted above, you must obtain the express permission of Macka Jensen
Please use the “contact” page on the website for permission requests.
If in doubt please ask.
